Restoration
Restoration work is at the moment centred on violin-family instruments and traditional instruments such as mandolin, hurdy-gurdy (a first for the workshop in 2006) psaltery and epinette-des-Vosges, although I am more than happy to restore anything with strings on it (except the washing line!) Sadly, quite a few much-loved and eminently restorable instruments cannot justify the disproportionate repair bills entailed, so we have to pass those by, which is a pity, but we do seriously consider anything!
Hand painted graphics for existing guitars (see Woodstock, Beano, and Pharaoh guitars in gallery) I suppose come under the restoration heading... couldn't think where-else to mention them! Personally I would happily do these all week! Designs are to the client's choosing, as ever.
